Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Repcord. They are short on purpose. By creating an account or using the app you accept them.

1. Who provides Repcord

Repcord is provided by Leo André, an individual developer based in Sweden. Contact details are at the bottom of this page. How your data is handled is a separate document: the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

2. Who may use it

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Sixteen is at or above the age every EU country sets for agreeing to an online service without a parent's permission, so the same limit applies wherever you are. If you are under 16, you may not create an account, and one found to belong to someone younger will be deleted.

An account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think somebody else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Your data is yours

Everything you log stays yours. The only permission you give by using the app is the one it needs to work: to store your data, sync it between the server and your devices, and back it up so it can be restored. Your training data is not used for anything else — not for advertising, not for training models, not for sharing with anyone.

You can delete all of it at any time, from inside the app or without it. See deleting your account.

4. Using it fairly

Do not:

Automating your own client against your own account is fine. Anything that degrades the service for other people is not.

5. Repcord is not medical or fitness advice

Repcord records what you tell it and does arithmetic on it. Nothing it shows — a suggested weight, a goal, a chart, a personal record — is medical advice, a training programme, or a judgement about whether an exercise is safe for you. Lifting carries risk of injury. Get advice from a doctor or a qualified coach where it matters, and stop if something hurts.

6. Availability

There is no uptime commitment. The service may be taken down for maintenance, or be unavailable without warning. Logging a workout does not need the server, so the app keeps working while it is down; syncing resumes on its own afterwards.

7. Ending it

You can stop at any time by deleting your account, which removes your data as described in the privacy policy. An account may be suspended or removed if it is being used to break section 5, or where the law requires it. Repcord may also be discontinued entirely; if that happens, you will be given reasonable notice by email first, and a way to get your data out, so that nothing disappears without warning.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Repcord is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for lost profits or opportunities arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — and if you are a consumer, your mandatory rights under the law of the country you live in are unaffected by anything in these terms.

9. Changes

These terms may change as the app does. The date at the top says when they last did, and where a change materially affects you, you will be told by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Repcord after that means accepting the new terms; if you would rather not, you can delete your account.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law, and disputes belong to the Swedish courts. If you are a consumer, that does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory rules of the country you live in, or of any right you have to bring proceedings there — wherever that is.
